Introduction

ArrigoHome is a service used for organizations who want the ability to connect to and handle all their Arrigo Local installations, as well as create a seamless integration to www.arrigo.se. Users can browse, connect and get access to systems with a single click. Administrators in the organization keep track of users, share capabilities and endpoints in groups, connect their organization active directory and much more. ArrigoHome is the umbrella solution and the natural place to start your day.

The core concept

In ArrigoHome as a product, there is a big difference in the terms How do I login and What can I do when I have logged in. The fundamental concept of ArrigoHome is that we build trust in a user, if that user can login. When logged in, we decide what to do and what access a user has to which endpoints and which organizations. This means that we can treat many different organizations with their users, all logging in with their AuthorizationProvider, and then, when logged in, they can consume their systems provided by organization administrators in their respective organizations. This means that you always use the AuthorizationProvider of your organization, even when you are a guest user in someone else's organization. This simplifies the useability, and your organization administrator can have complete control over users and access to systems in organization.

Workflow

The first user logging into ArrigoHome has the ability to request the creation of an organization. That user becomes the Organization Administrator. As an Organization Administrator, the user has full control over the settings and users of the organization. An Organization Administrator can:

  • Edit ArrigoProjects (endpoints and groups)
  • Edit Groups (groups of users)
  • Edit Endpoints (connections to other Arrigo Local installations)
  • Edit AuthProviders (how the users in the same organization log into ArrigoHome).

The rest of the users just log in to ArrigoHome and navigates between their projects with already configured access control.
