Installation

Preparation

Arrigo Local needs:

  • An EXODS/EXOscada installation with a valid license.
  • SQL Server/SQL Server Express.

Info

Make sure that the installed version of EXODS/EXOscada is compatible with Arrigo Local, or consider an upgrade of EXODS/EXOscada before installing.

Arrigo Local Installer will abort the installation if there is a mismatch between its compatible version and the installed version of EXODS/EXOscada.

Installation procedure

Online installation

If the server has internet access you simply download the Arrigo Local installer from https://releases.arrigo.se and run it.
When you run the installer it will automatically check for newer versions.

Offline/air-gapped installation

If the server lacks internet access you must first prepare an offline package on a computer with internet access. You can read more about this in the Arrigo Local Installer section.

Prepare the EXO project for Arrigo Local

Convert an old project

An EXOscada project needs the additional Arrigo BMS object to work. A couple of manual steps are needed to get online and going.

In Project Builder:

  • Add the object Arrigo BMS from the General objects category. This will copy necessary files to the project and give access to the new tools.
  • Select the Main Computer, open Scada functions and add the Arrigo BMS function.

Restart EXOscada.

Create a new project

If you create a new EXO project, make sure you select the template Project - General with Arrigo BMS.

Connect Arrigo Local to a prepared project

You must either Convert an old project or Create a new project before continuing.

Verify that:

  • The EXO project is attached to EXODS/EXOscada.
  • The Arrigo BMS Scada Function is added to the Main Computer
  • EXOscada is started.

In Project Builder:

  • Select the ArrigoBMS node, open the Tools menu and select Arrigo - Attach project.
  • Select the ArrigoBMS node, open the Tools menu and select Arrigo - View attached project status. Verify that all checks pass.

Open a browser and navigate to http://localhost/arrigo.
If the login page for Arrigo Local is shown, the installation and project is ready.
